About
I am studying ecomics and political science at the University of Greifswald, Germany and I am going to finish my Bachelors degree in spring next year. Currently I am studying abroad at Oxford Brookes University.
I think my Bachelor thesis will be about the question whether economic growth is possible although we face ressource depletion and climate change.
After my Bachelors degree I would like to work for half an year and in October I would like to start studying Global Political Economy for a Masters degree.
I worked already as a student assistant at the Chair for Comparative Political Science of Prof. Dr. Detlef Jahn at the University of Greifswald in the DFG research project "Umweltbelastung als globales Phänomen" ("Environmental damage as global phenomenon"). There I wrote parts of the final report about the issues of economic growth and pollution and about trade and pollution. I also did calculations with STATA.
In my assignments I occupyied myself with the following:
- politics of climate change (comparative)
- time series cross section analysis
- postructuralist discourse theory
- neo-Gramscian approaches
- sustainable development
- market mechanisms in the climate regime
